IShare e-learning Academy launch

Friday 18th May 2012

Everyone is talking about the benefits of e-learning and as we experience a reduction in resources, e-learning is a cost effective solution to help organisations meet their training needs. Staff can access courses at a time to suit and undertake the learning at their own pace.

Medway Council have offered e-learning as part of their Corporate Training programme for several years, allowing staff to access the 200+ courses on a first come first served basis. However we are now proud to announce that Medway Council have become the lead body for a new, Kent wide, e-learning Academy accessed via i-share,
www.i-share.org.uk.

Membership benefits include;
• Unlimited access to over 200 core courses, including Stat and Man,  Social Care, Management Skills, Health and Safety, Ethics in Business, Safeguarding, Induction etc.
• A simple training needs analysis tool designed to measure skills and competence within teams.
• Access to Freeshare - sector specific courses designed by Public Sector organisations in England and Wales, inc. NHS, Police, Fire and Rescue, Barnardos, Great Ormond Street Hospital.
• Bespoke course creation.

The iShare e-learning Academy is being offically launched at a special event on Monday 21 May 2012 between 13:00 and 16:30. If you would like to attend the event could you please email Paul Richards at paul.richards@medway.gov.uk.
