How do I book a training course?

Firstly you will need to be a registered user. Once registered you can search and browse for courses that you may wish to attend. Once you have found a course, click the ‘attend this course’ button.

Complete the form presented to you (if you have completed your profile details, this form will be auto filled).

All done!


How do I cancel my place on a course?

This can be done through iShare. Open the course information and choose ‘cant make it’ and complete the cancellation form. There are times when you are not able to cancel your place via iShare as you may be outside the cancellation period. In these instances contact the training provider directly using the messaging function in iShare.


Can I book a course at any of the councils?

Yes you can. iShare is all about the sharing of resources across public sector organisations.


How do I pay for the course?

To register for a course you will need a valid purchase order number from your line manager or finance department. This purchase number will be externally verified prior to the course commencing. If you dont have a purchase order please ensure you enter ‘by invoice’ in the purchase order area.


How will I receive course information?

If there are any pre-course materials or documents, you will find them automatically listed under the ‘Documents’ tab.


Will the course be accredited?

It depends on the course/ training that is being offered. Please check the course details carefully before applying.


How do I ask a question to another user?

You can only send a message to another user if you have shared a course. Select the ‘messages’ tab and
search via their surname. Choose ‘send message’ to contact them.


How do I make a contact?

You cannot add your own names to this list. Contacts are automatically added from the attendee list from any course you have attended.
